Let me share with y’all a series of events that happened yesterday:
-had my first shift at work in about 5 months
-leaving work at about 6.30 my car died on a back road
-called Sean to come help
-sitting with hazards on because no street lights
-battery died
-buy engine oil just in case ~$20
-go buy jumper cables with servo tax ~$60
-car won’t kick over, seems to be lacking something, FUEL PERHAPS?!
-meanwhile I had to wizz real bad
-head away from the roadside and there’s a drain ditch about 3 foot deep, perfect, easy, privacy
-except it’s not 3 foot deep, it’s 5 foot deep, and now standing in waist deep water
-I am stuck
-all sorts of scum and debris brushing my legs
-calling Sean for help
-rescued
-phone in pocket, got wet, stuck on vibrate
-take my soggy smelly shoes and clothes off on the roadside and use the dog towel in my car to dry myself and wear Sean’s jumper home
-go buy jerry can, buy petrol, car starts, yay, go fill her up, go home to have a very hot shower and eat a very delicious if late dinner
I left my phone in rice overnight and it seems to be working again now thankfully. I’ll get some new content put at some point today but yesterday was a COMPLETE write off! It’s ok to laugh, I did.
