my first impressions of Vietnam, day one: - in Thailand, the writing is one long, continuous stream of curly letters without spaces. here, it’s the opposite — lots of short word pieces with plenty of gaps. it’s still Asia with similar vibes, but the difference in city signs feels like different-Asia, strange but interesting - the driver’s seat is on the left, like in Russia! yesterday turned into a crazy hurricane when some unexpected document issues came up, and I had to leave Thailand urgently to sort everything out and return back to keep staying here legally. since it was a chance for a short trip, I decided to fly to Vietnam for a few days and catch up with my bestie while I’m here. it was all very last-minute — buying plane tickets, packing, getting to the airport, and flying out in a rush.
